HouseProud was set up in 2014 as the network group for LGBT people working in social housing.

We now have around 50 represented organisations, from across the South East, East Anglia and the Midlands varying from housing associations, ALMOs, local authorities and care providers.
Our Aims
​
To be a forum for sharing information and promoting best practice across the industry and with HouseProud members
​
To support HouseProud members in their development and help mentor each other;
​
To raise awareness of LGBT issues across the industry;
​
To Influence policy and boards/decision makers;
​
To develop partnerships and support other organisations
​
To be a network and safe space for LGBT housing staff
​
To be a support and advocacy service for HouseProud members
​
Improve service delivery for all our service users

We are reliant on donations for our work, and are managed by a steering group of volunteers from across the our membership, who are elected each autumn at our AGM.
Membership

Membership is very simple (and free)- providing you are employed in social housing, you can be member - simply email our membership officer Pamela, here . If you work in a sector that supports us you can also join.
